FAQs

The questions most often asked.

What counts as a "luxury" ski chalet on Chalet Hunter?

There is no rating system — we use the term loosely to describe larger, higher-spec chalets with features like ski-in/ski-out access, multiple en-suite bedrooms, hot tubs and spa, a private chef option, and prime resort locations. Use the filters on the search page to match your own definition.

Do you charge a booking fee on top of the chalet price?

No. Chalet Hunter charges hosts a flat annual listing fee and never adds a guest-side booking fee. The price quoted by the host is the price you pay.

Do I book through Chalet Hunter?

You send an enquiry to the host directly from the listing. The host replies with availability, exact pricing, deposit terms and payment instructions. The booking contract is between you and the host.

Which resorts are best for ski-in/ski-out chalets?

Verbier, Courchevel 1850, Méribel-Mottaret, Val d’Isère, Zermatt, Lech, St. Anton and Saalbach all have meaningful inventory of ski-in/ski-out chalets and apartments. Filter the search page by the "Ski-in Ski-out" feature to see current availability.

Can I book just an apartment instead of a full chalet?

Yes. The platform lists ski apartments alongside chalets — use the "Property type" filter to narrow the results.
